What is the best caviar?

This is up to your personal taste, but let me tell you that the most expensive is not necessarily the best one. Often, I noted that people who don’t know much about caviar, but who want to impress their guests or the person to whom they are offering caviar, tend to choose Beluga because it’s one of the most expensive caviar so they assume it’s the best. To the contrary, connoisseurs will turn towards an Oscietra, for it’s complex taste.

This is my personal taste, but I would say the best caviar to go to in general is Oscietra because it provides a complexity of flavors and a nuttiness that few types of caviar can provide. This is a safe choice that never disappoints.

However, I do prefer higher qualities of Siberian Caviar, because I find the flavors incredible. A high grade of Siberian Caviar will provide a formidable tasting journey, starting on a savory kick and ending on a sweet tropical subtle note.

My least preferred Caviar would probably be the Sevruga, which is expensive due to its rarity but does not provide an interesting tasting palette.
